Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Charge Rocks Little Eagle Community

Verinda Red Legs, a 29-year-old woman from Little Eagle, South Dakota, has been charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury. The indictment was handed down by a federal grand jury on November 14, 2013.

According to court documents, Red Legs allegedly assaulted her dating partner with a knife on October 18, 2013, resulting in serious bodily injury. The charges are mere accusations, and Red Legs is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
