In a disturbing case of child sex abuse, 19-year-old Tynan LeShawn Addison of Ethete, Wyoming, was sentenced to 81 months in prison for sexually assaulting a minor in September 2025. The victim’s mother took them to a clinic, where examiners found injuries consistent with a sexual assault. The FBI investigated the crime, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Kerry Jacobson prosecuted the case.
In a separate incident, 22-year-old Dakota Fletcher of Ethete, Wyoming, was sentenced to time served and two years of supervised release for assaulting a federal law enforcement officer on October 5, 2025. Fletcher was intoxicated and reportedly suicidal when BIA officers responded to a residence, and he kicked and punched one of the officers while they tried to break up a disturbance.
Both cases were prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office and were sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl. Addison was ordered to pay $2,105.75 in restitution to the victim and will serve five years of supervised release after his prison term. Fletcher pleaded guilty on May 20, 2026, and was sentenced on August 6, 2026.
The sentences reflect the seriousness of the crimes committed by Addison and Fletcher. The U.S. Attorney’s Office and law enforcement agencies like the FBI and BIA work together to investigate and prosecute crimes that harm vulnerable members of society, including children and law enforcement officers.
