A 62-year-old man from Nambe, New Mexico, has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for abusive sexual contact in Indian Country, the Grimy Times has learned.
Yvon Loretto, an enrolled member of the Pueblo of Nambe, pleaded guilty on August 11, 2020, to abusive sexual contact, which is a serious crime that involves any type of sexual abuse without consent.
According to court documents, Loretto sexually abused a victim who was less than 12 years old on or between October 1, 2016, and October 31, 2016, on the Pueblo of Nambe in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico.
The FBI’s Santa Fe Resident Agency investigated this case and Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Spindle prosecuted the case.
Loretto will be subject to eight years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender upon his release from prison.
