A crackdown on immigration violators in Florida has yielded 14 new indictments for re-entering the US after being deported multiple times. The suspects, all previously deported, were caught in various counties across the state in January and February 2026.

The cases include Osman Guerrero-Torres, a 45-year-old Honduran national who allegedly re-entered the US in January 2026, after being deported seven times since 1997. Guerrero-Torres is set to face trial on April 29 in Gainesville.

Other defendants include Jairo Calel Vicente, a 30-year-old Guatemalan national, and Romeo Escalon, a 44-year-old Honduran national, who both allegedly re-entered the US in February 2026. Vicente is set to face trial on May 4 in Pensacola, while Escalon is expected to plead guilty on April 16.

The US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida announced the indictments, which were brought by a federal grand jury. The cases are part of a broader effort to crack down on immigration offenses in the state.
