A 23-year-old Little Rock man is headed behind bars for a brazen armed robbery of a postal employee. Christopher Juan Sheard, armed with a loaded Glock 20, held up the mail carrier on February 26, 2024, at an apartment complex.
Sheard, who had a hand on his pistol tucked into his waistband, demanded the carrier’s postal key. The key, worth $44,614.67 in restitution, would grant access to secure mailboxes and packages.
After his arrest, Sheard made several phone calls, discussing the sale of the key for cash. In one call, he chillingly threatened to ‘chop’ down the postal employee on Facebook.
Sheard’s long rap sheet includes convictions for possession of a controlled substance, felony fleeing, and obstruction of governmental operations.
On December 1, 2025, Sheard pleaded guilty to the armed robbery charge. Today, he was sentenced to 121 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Judge Lee P. Rudofsky handed down the sentence.
