Angel Fernandez, a Sparks resident, was sentenced to 23 years in prison for sexually abusing six children, including four Native American kids, on the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony. The abuse occurred from 2004 to 2022, with some victims continuing to be abused after they turned 16. Fernandez pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of abusive sexual contact within Indian Country.
