San Juan, Puerto Rico – The gritty streets of Bayamón were hit with a shockwave as law enforcement announced the indictment of 49 members of the violent gang ‘Bin Laden Records’. This团伙 is alleged to have been distributing illegal drugs and firearms with deadly intent.
The charges include conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, possession and distribution of controlled substances, and firearms violations. The announcement came on September 3, 2025, a date that holds somber significance as it marks the anniversary of 9/11.
U.S. Attorney W. Stephen Muldrow emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, ‘Just as 9/11 demanded a national response, the toll of gang violence and drug trafficking in our communities demands action and unity.’
The investigation was spearheaded by the ATF, Puerto Rico Police Bayamón Strike Force, DEA, U.S. Marshals Service, Bayamón Municipal Police, Guaynabo Municipal Police, and Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations (CBP AMO).
According to the indictment, the gang distributed heroin, cocaine, fentanyl, Oxycodone, and Alprazolam within close proximity to public housing and schools. They also engaged in murder to protect their operations and transported large quantities of cocaine into the continental United States.
The defendants are accused of acting in various roles within the drug trafficking conspiracy, from leaders to enforcers and runners. The grim reality of this gang’s operations was underscored by their tactics of obstructing law enforcement using shopping carts.
