The Bully Gang’s brutal reign in Brooklyn came to an end today, as its leader, Moeleek Harrell, aka Moe Money, was sentenced to 60 years in federal prison. Harrell’s gang had spread its wings from Brooklyn to Maine, leaving a trail of murder, assault, and drug violence.
A 13-week trial in July 2024 had already seen three of Harrell’s high-ranking members convicted of racketeering, murder, assault, and other crimes. The Bully Gang’s crimes were a direct threat to the community, with brazen acts of violence and large-scale drug trafficking.
Harrell’s sentencing sends a clear message that those who lead violent gangs will face severe consequences. The sentence ensures that Harrell will spend the rest of his life behind bars, unable to continue terrorizing the neighborhoods he once controlled.
The case was a collaborative effort between the Eastern District of New York, the ATF, NYPD, and DOI, who all worked together to dismantle the Bully Gang and bring its leaders to justice.
