A grand jury in Nebraska has indicted Fredy Aguilar-Portilo, 31, along with 26 others for various crimes.
Aguilar-Portilo, a resident of USA, is charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture containing methamphetamine and 5 kilograms or more of a mixture containing cocaine from an unknown date but at least as early as August 23, 2014, up to and including August 28, 2014.
The maximum possible penalty if convicted is Life imprisonment, a $10,000,000 fine, a 5 year term of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.
This is not the first time Aguilar-Portilo has been accused of a crime. His charges are still pending.
The indictment is part of a larger investigation into the trafficking of illicit substances in the region.
Aguilar-Portilo remains free pending trial.
The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Nebraska.
