Houma man Harris Henderson, 44, pleaded guilty to violating the federal controlled substances act in a Louisiana courtroom.
Henderson, a resident of Houma, Louisiana, was charged with distributing five grams or more of methamphetamine in the Terrebonne Parish area, according to court records.
Agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Terrebonne Parish Narcotics Task Force used a confidential source to make a controlled purchase of approximately two ounces of methamphetamine from Henderson in Schriever, Louisiana, in February 2018.
Henderson faces a mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of five years and a maximum of 40 years’ imprisonment, as well as a fine of up to $5,000,000.00 and at least four years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment.
The prosecution is part of an extensive investigation by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF), which is a joint federal, state, and local cooperative approach to combat drug trafficking.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Office of Homeland Security Investigations, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office. The prosecution is being handled by Assistant United States Attorney André Jones.
