A 49-year-old DeFuniak Springs man is facing a decade to life behind bars for allegedly trying to lure a kid online.
Michael Foster appeared in federal court in Tallahassee after a grand jury indicted him on a single count of attempted enticement of a minor.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations investigated the case, which was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sex exploitation and abuse.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric W. Welch is prosecuting the case, which is set to go to trial on August 24, 2026.
