DAVENPORT, IA – Nong Chatchanok Press, 23, of Iowa City, will spend the next nine years and two months in a federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing a sickening trove of child pornography. The sentence was handed down in Davenport on March 17, 2026.
The bust started with a CyberTip reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators traced the online activity to Press, who was allegedly receiving and uploading depraved content. A raid on his Iowa City home in December 2023 turned up electronic devices packed with evidence. Another device was seized during his arrest in February 2025.
Forensic analysis of the devices revealed a horrifying collection: more than 117,000 images and 300 videos depicting the sexual abuse of children. Press now faces a 15-year term of supervised release after he gets out, and he’s been ordered to pay $123,000 in restitution to victims.
The case was investigated by the University of Iowa Police Department and prosecuted as part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide effort to combat online child exploitation.
