Aaron StandsAndLooksBack, a/k/a Aaron Woodman, 42, from Fort Dodge, Iowa, has struck a guilty plea in federal court in Sioux City regarding a methamphetamine conspiracy charge.
The plea hearing took place on June 4, 2025. During the hearing, StandsAndLooksBack admitted to conspiring with others to distribute at least 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine between December 2020 and December 2023.
Prosecutors also presented evidence that StandsAndLooksBack obtained methamphetamine by either purchasing or stealing it, and then redistributed it to others in the Fort Dodge, Iowa area.
Furthermore, StandsAndLooksBack confessed to stealing significant amounts of methamphetamine from his mother and reselling it to others in the same area.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn S. Wehde, with the investigation conducted by the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Fort Dodge Iowa Police Department, Webster County Sheriff’s Office, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa DCI Laboratory.
StandsAndLooksBack currently remains in custody of the United States Marshal, pending sentencing. The court will set a sentencing date after a presentence report is prepared.
StandsAndLooksBack faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years’ imprisonment and a possible maximum sentence of life imprisonment, along with a $10,000,000 fine and at least five years of supervised release following any imprisonment.
