Visalia Man Sentenced to 12 Years for Methamphetamine Distribution in Oklahoma

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – Aichu Saesee, a 30-year-old man from Visalia, California, has been sentenced to 151 months in prison and 5 years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance.

The charge against Saesee arose from an investigation by the Latimer County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The indictment alleged that on or about July 14, 2017, Saesee knowingly and intentionally possessed with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

United States Attorney Brian J. Kuester praised the efforts of the Latimer County Sheriff’s Office and DEA, saying, “Methamphetamine has destroyed lives, families, and communities across our country. Those that are in the business of selling it must be held responsible for their criminal activity. The defendant in this case will be unable to participate in that deadly business for the over 12 years that he is in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons. He is being held accountable and communities are being protected.”

The Honorable Ronald A. White, U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearing. Assistant United States Attorney Kristin Harrington represented the United States in the case.

Aichu Saesee will remain in custody pending transportation to the designated federal facility where he will serve his non-paroleable sentence.
