Raynard Clayton, Threats Against Law Enforcement Officer, Ohio 2024

GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: Akron native Raynard Clayton, 34, has been slammed with federal charges for making chilling threats against a law enforcement officer on Facebook Live.

The grim revelation comes from the United States Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Ohio. The FBI Akron Resident Agency was quick to secure Clayton’s transfer to federal custody after he was initially placed into custody by the Adult Parole Authority on Feb. 8, 2018.

Clayton, also known as Raynard Dutch, is accused of posting a 21-minute-long video that includes graphic threats against an individual known to law enforcement. ‘I’ll shoot you point blank range, no mask,’ Clayton declares in the video, adding, ‘Get you and your family wrapped up. AR-15, you know what I mean.’

In a disturbing escalation, Clayton continues, ‘The best type of cop is a dead cop,’ further solidifying his intention to harm law enforcement.

Despite the serious charges against him, it’s important to note that a complaint is only a charge and not evidence of guilt. Clayton will have the opportunity for a fair trial where the government must prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

This case serves as another stark reminder of the dangers of social media and the impact such threats can have on communities and law enforcement alike. Stay tuned to Grimy Times for ongoing coverage of this chilling incident.
