A 19-year-old Boulder, Colorado resident has been convicted of distributing methamphetamine in the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Ana Duenas, 19, of Boulder, Colorado, pled guilty to Possession With Intent To Distribute Methamphetamine, a federal crime punishable by not less than 10 years and up to life imprisonment, up to a $10,000,000.00 fine, or both.
The charges stem from an investigation by the Henryetta Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration. According to court documents, on April 24, 2018, Duenas knowingly and intentionally possessed with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine (actual), a Schedule II controlled substance.
The Indictment alleged that Duenas committed the offense within the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Rob Wallace.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Steven P. Shreder accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report. The report will be used to determine the extent of Duenas’ involvement in the crime and to calculate an appropriate sentence.
