Andrew Harville, Methamphetamine Conspiracy, Tennessee 2017

A 29-year-old man from Morristown, Tennessee, has been sentenced to 188 months in federal prison for his role in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in east Tennessee.

Andrew Harville, 29, was sentenced by the Honorable R. Leon Jordan, Senior U.S. District Court Judge, on August 15, 2017, following his guilty plea to the charge.

According to Harville’s plea agreement, he admitted to being responsible for the distribution of at least 500 grams but less than 1.5 kilograms of actual methamphetamine.

The investigation into Harville’s activities was a joint effort between the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office, Morristown Police Department, and the Third and Fourth District Judicial Drug Task Forces.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Wayne Taylor represented the United States in the case.

Harville’s sentence is the result of the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) program, a comprehensive multi-agency effort to disrupt and dismantle major drug trafficking and money laundering organizations.

The OCDETF program, established in 1982, combines the resources and expertise of federal agencies with state and local law enforcement to identify, disrupt, and dismantle the most serious drug trafficking and money laundering organizations.

Law enforcement agencies participating in the investigation praised the efforts of all involved in bringing Harville to justice.
