Angelo Mark, Fentanyl Distribution, Washington 2025

WASHINGTON – A grim chapter in the city’s drug war was sealed today as Angelo Mark, 31, of Washington D.C., was sentenced to 91 months in federal prison for his role in a prolific drug delivery service. Mark pleaded guilty on June 18, 2025, to conspiracy to distribute detectable amounts of fentanyl and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense.

The U.S. District Court also ordered Mark to serve three years of supervised release following his prison sentence. The sentencing was announced by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro, who emphasized the severity of Mark’s crime.

According to court documents, between Jan. 10, 2024, and March 13, 2024, undercover DEA agents made six controlled purchases of fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, and suspected MDMA from Mark’s brother, Jevaughn Mark. On Mar. 22, 2024, law enforcement executed search warrants at the homes of both brothers on the 2300 block of Chester Street SE.

In a stunning discovery, agents recovered four handguns, three assault-style rifles with their serial numbers removed, and 954 rounds of ammunition from Angelo Mark’s residence. The seizure also included 11.5 grams of cocaine, four digital scales, bulk drug-packaging materials, and $50,663 in cash.

Co-defendant Jevaughn Mark pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and cocaine, as well as unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He accepted responsibility for causing the drug-related deaths of Brandon Román and Robert Barletta. On June 26, 2025, he was sentenced to 180 months in prison.

This case was investigated by the DEA’s Washington Division and the Metropolitan Police Department, with prosecution led by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Iris McCranie and Dan Seidel of the Violent Crime and Narcotics Trafficking section.
