Bronx Man Sentenced on Oxycodone Charge in Maine
A Bronx man has been sentenced for his role in a federal drug conspiracy charge in Maine. Anthony Gomez, a/k/a “Tone”, 35, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of three years and five months and a 3 year term of supervised release for conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and distribute oxycodone.
Gomez was one of Maurice McCray’s New York sources of supply for oxycodone. He conspired with others in Waterville, Maine and surrounding communities to distribute and possess with intent to distribute oxycodone between January 2012 and March 2012.
Gomez was arrested following an 18 month long fugitive investigation by the U.S. Marshal’s Service.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency with assistance from the Waterville, Maine Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Joel B. Casey handled the case.
Gomez is the twenty-third person to be convicted and sentenced in the federal investigation into drug distribution in the Waterville, Maine area.
According to court records, Gomez was arrested and charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and distribute oxycodone. He was sentenced on [no specific date mentioned] in the U.S. District Court in Bangor, Maine.
