Plea Deal in Aliquippa Felon’s Cocaine and Firearm Case

A Beaver County resident has pleaded guilty to charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.

According to court documents, Antoine Cummings, age 37, of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty to two counts before Senior United States District Judge Nora Barry Fischer.

The charges stem from a September 2019 search of an apartment in which Cummings was living. Law enforcement officers found and seized around 51 grams of powder cocaine, a loaded Smith and Wesson 40 caliber pistol, ammunition, and over $5,800.

As a result of his prior felony convictions, including one for drug trafficking, Cummings was prohibited from possessing a firearm and ammunition. Judge Fischer scheduled sentencing for April 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm.

For the charge of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, the law provides for a total sentence of not more than 30 years in prison, a fine not to exceed $2,000,000, or both. For the charge of felon in possession, the law provides for a total sentence of not more than 10 years in prison, a fine of not more than $250,000, or both.

Pending sentencing, the court ordered that Cummings be detained.

Assistant United States Attorney Brian M. Czarnecki is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.

The Beaver County Drug Task Force led the multi-agency investigation of this case, which also involved the Beaver County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force and the Aliquippa Police Department.
