Emmanuel Collins, Jujuan Beecher, and Tayveon Majors carried out a string of brazen armed robberies across Indianapolis in July 2024, terrorizing gas station clerks and store employees at gunpoint. The trio targeted four businesses, including a GoLo gas station, a Shell gas station, a Phillips 66 gas station, and a Dollar Tree store, making off with thousands of dollars in cash and goods. The motivations behind the robberies are unclear, but the outcome is certain: all three men are now headed to federal prison.
The first robbery occurred on July 4, 2024, at a GoLo gas station on East Washington Street, where Collins and another individual pointed a firearm at the clerk and demanded money. Beecher acted as a lookout, guarding the door as the men fled on foot with approximately $350 in cash and a box of lottery tickets.
Over the next two weeks, the trio struck again, robbing a Shell gas station on East New York Street and a Phillips 66 gas station on Kentucky Avenue. Majors acted as the getaway driver in the Phillips 66 robbery, which netted the group $2,134 in cash. The final robbery occurred on July 18 at a Dollar Tree on Washington Street, where Beecher and another individual held the cashier at gunpoint and demanded money.
Collins and Beecher both pleaded guilty to multiple counts of interference with commerce by robbery and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. Collins was sentenced to 18 years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Beecher received an identical sentence. Majors pleaded guilty to two counts of interference with commerce by robbery and was sentenced to five years and three months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
