Bloomsburg Man Sentenced For 5-Flouro-PB-22 Trafficking

A 25-year-old man from Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced for his role in a 5-flouro-PB-22 trafficking operation. Adam N. Riegel, 25, was sentenced to three years’ probation with eight months’ home confinement for his involvement in the conspiracy to distribute and distribution of the controlled substance analogue.

According to court documents, Riegel conspired with other individuals between September 2013 and February 20, 2014, to distribute 5-flouro-PB-22. During this time, Riegel deposited $52,000 in proceeds from the offense at the Service 1st Credit Union in Danville, Pennsylvania, on February 20, 2014.

Riegel was charged in August 2014 and pleaded guilty in January 2015 pursuant to a plea agreement filed on December 23, 2014.

The case was investigated by the Danville Borough Police Department, the Mahoning Township Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Philadelphia Division. Prosecution of the matter was handled by Assistant United States Attorney George J. Rocktashel.

Riegel was also ordered to forfeit $25,000 cash as part of his sentence. The sentence handed down to Riegel is a significant blow to the organization involved in the 5-flouro-PB-22 trafficking operation.
