Bourne Man Lands 8 Years for Child Porn Possession

A 37-year-old Bourne man is going down for child pornography, and we’re not talking about a slap on the wrist. Bryan C. Mileikis was sentenced to eight years in prison for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and violating his terms of supervised release.

On October 2023, Mileikis pleaded guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. But that’s not all – he also got hit with a two-year concurrent sentence for violating his supervised release on two prior unrelated federal armed bank robbery convictions.

According to court documents, Mileikis was identified as the owner of a Kik Messenger account distributing CSAM online. A search of his Bourne residence in June 2019 turned up his iPhone, which was seized and subjected to a forensic examination. That’s when the real horror show began.

The cell phone revealed approximately 156 images and 22 videos depicting CSAM, including prepubescent and pubescent minors, and children ranging in age from approximately one year old to approximately 17 years old. The CSAM files included sexual abuse of minor children by adults.

Mileikis was on federal supervised release at the time of the offense, having been sentenced to 110 months in prison for two armed bank robbery convictions. But that didn’t stop him from continuing to distribute CSAM. He’s now facing the consequences of his actions.

U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani handed down the sentence, also ordering Mileikis to pay $18,000 in restitution for the CSAM case. Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy and other law enforcement officials announced the sentence, touting it as a victory for justice.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the DOJ’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate and prosecute individuals who exploit children.
