A Tulsa man has been sentenced to 121 months in prison for his role in possessing and distributing child pornography in Indian Country.
Brian Harris Carlile, 31, admitted to using his cell phone to possess, receive, and distribute images and videos containing minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct between June 2023 and September 2023.
Many of the images and videos involved minors under the age of 12, a disturbing trend that has plagued law enforcement agencies nationwide.
Carlile, a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release from prison and will serve 10 years of supervised release.
The case was investigated by the Homeland Security Investigations and the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Ashley Robert prosecuting the case.
This case is part of the nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse, known as Project Safe Childhood.
Project Safe Childhood was launched in May 2006 and has marshaled federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children.
