Slidell Man Charged with Possessing Child Exploitation Images
In a disturbing case, Brock Taylor Guillot, a 24-year-old resident of Slidell, Louisiana, has been charged with possessing images and videos depicting the sexual exploitation of children under the age of 12. The charges were brought forth by U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans on May 26, 2022.
According to the indictment, Guillot faces a maximum term of imprisonment of twenty (20) years, up to a lifetime of supervised release, up to a $250,000 fine, a mandatory $100 special assessment fee, and he can be required to register as a sex offender.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. The program marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet.
U.S. Attorney Evans praised the work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in investigating this matter. Assistant United States Attorney Jordan Ginsberg is in charge of the prosecution.
