According to the Indictment, Morris shot and killed Jemison on August 11, 2016, in relation to a long-running drug conspiracy. He faces a maximum sentence of death or life in prison for the murder charge, as well as a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison for the narcotics conspiracy charge.
