Meth Trafficking Ring Busted in Columbia, MO
Jefferson City, MO – In a shocking turn of events, two Columbia residents have been taken into custody for their alleged involvement in a methamphetamine trafficking ring. Bryan Patton Tullous, 39, and Cassiopeia Marie Blaise, 36, have pleaded guilty to participating in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, respectively.
According to court documents, the duo received a large package of methamphetamine shipped from California, which was intercepted by law enforcement officers on April 26, 2019. The package contained approximately 5.6 pounds of methamphetamine, weighing around 2.209 kilograms. Both Tullous and Blaise were taken into custody and a search warrant was executed at their residence, where officers found a dozen firearms, including a loaded Smith & Wesson .380-caliber pistol and a Mossberg .22-caliber rifle.
Tullous admitted to ordering the package and paying $12,000 for the methamphetamine. Under federal statutes, Tullous is subject to a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison without parole, up to a sentence of life in federal prison without parole. Blaise, on the other hand, is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison without parole, up to a sentence of 40 years in federal prison without parole.
The case is being prosecuted by Supervisory Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael S. Oliver. It was investigated by the East Central Drug Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Columbia, MO, Police Department.
