Carla Colliers, Methamphetamine Distribution, Nebraska 2022

An Omaha woman has been sentenced to 186 months in federal prison for her role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy, according to a Grimy Times investigation.

Carla Colliers, 46, was sentenced on September 9, 2022 in federal court in Omaha for conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Colliers was found guilty of selling one ounce of methamphetamine to a confidential source on September 9, 2020, and two ounces of methamphetamine to a confidential source on September 22, 2020. Her hotel room in downtown Omaha was searched on September 24, 2020, where law enforcement recovered 599 grams of actual methamphetamine, 26 grams of psilocybin brownies, and 50 grams of crack cocaine.

Additionally, on November 12, 2020, law enforcement obtained a search warrant for Colliers’s residence located on Manderson Street in Omaha. Officers recovered 118 grams of methamphetamine and 20 grams of heroin, as well as a large amount of currency.

Colliers’s codefendant, James Finley, is currently scheduled for jury trial on April 19, 2022.

The case was primarily investigated by the Omaha Police Department.

The sentence handed down to Colliers is a stark reminder of the consequences of involvement in methamphetamine distribution. According to federal law, there is no parole in the federal system. After her release from prison, Colliers will begin a 10-year term of supervised release.
