Lexington, NE – The grim reaper of the streets has been handed his own sentence. Rudy Ortega Raymundo, a 35-year-old resident of Lexington, Nebraska, was sentenced to 108 months in federal prison today for his part in the distribution network of methamphetamine. The saga began on October 3, 2021, when law enforcement in Frontier County received a tip about a speeding vehicle along Old Highway 23. Upon searching Raymundo’s vehicle, authorities uncovered a treasure trove of illicit substances. A black trash bag in the back seat held four bags of methamphetamine, alongside a meth pipe with residue and a scale in the center console. The total weight of lab-confirmed meth seized was over three and a half pounds, with purity levels testing at 98% pure.
The Cooperation Operation for Drug Enforcement (CODE) Task Force, Nebraska State Patrol, and the Frontier County Sheriff’s Office investigated this case, bringing justice to those affected by Raymundo’s drug dealing activities. There is no parole in the federal system, ensuring Raymundo will serve every day of his sentence.
