Pittsburgh Woman Guilty in Heroin Distribution Conspiracy

In a shocking turn of events, Carrie Robinson, 45, of Pittsburgh, has pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute heroin, a crime that has left many in the community reeling.

According to court documents, Robinson agreed to distribute her son’s remaining heroin while he was incarcerated at the Allegheny County Jail on a heroin distribution charge in late March and early April 2014. The son, who was also charged with heroin distribution, is currently behind bars.

Robinson is scheduled to be sentenced on May 26, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. The law provides for a maximum total sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed would be based upon the seriousness of the offense and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
