Fairmont Man Accused of Methamphetamine Distribution

A 61-year-old man from Fairmont, West Virginia, has been indicted on a charge of methamphetamine distribution, according to federal prosecutors. Fredrick L. Chapman, also known as “Fred L. Chapman” and “Freddie,” is accused of possessing methamphetamine in Marion County in May of 2018.

According to the indictment, Chapman faces up to 20 years incarceration and a fine of up to $1,000,000 for the crime. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
