A 30-year-old woman from Montrose, West Virginia has admitted to selling a highly addictive and dangerous substance.

Cheyanne Mary Katherine Winning pleaded guilty to one count of "Distribution of Methamphetamine—Aiding and Abetting" in a United States court.

The crime occurred in Randolph County in November 2020, where Winning sold methamphetamine.

Winning faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000. However, the actual sentence will be determined by the seriousness of the offense and her prior criminal history, if any.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen D. Warner is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.

The Mountain Region Drug Task Force investigated the crime.
