Child Abuse: Porcupine Man Sentenced to Up to 10 Years
A 37-year-old man from Porcupine, South Dakota, has pleaded guilty to felony child abuse and neglect, a crime that has left a child with severe and permanent psychological injury.
Corey Good Crow appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Veronica L. Duffy on November 1, 2013, and admitted to engaging in a pattern of conduct between 2008 and 2010 that subjected a child to abuse and neglect.
The maximum penalty upon conviction is 10 years of imprisonment and a $250,000 fine. The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Justice Services, and the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety.
