Onai Kedar Wilbert Wright, a 27-year-old from Bridgeport, Connecticut, has been found guilty of multiple child exploitation offenses. The crimes took place over several months, starting when Wright met a 14-year-old girl and began recording and sharing explicit videos of her. The investigation led authorities to a residence in Norwich, Connecticut, where Wright was taken into custody along with the minor victim and two adult females. The case began to unfold on March 14, 2025, when an FBI Online Covert Employee monitored a live video stream on the internet application ‘Fambase’ and observed Wright engaging in explicit activity with the 15-year-old girl.
Wright’s crimes included creating an OnlyFans account where he uploaded explicit videos of the minor victim and pressured her to create more content. He also traveled with the girl to Ohio with the intent of creating more explicit online content. The minor victim was rescued after police in Vermilion, Ohio, conducted a welfare check on her, which led to the involvement of the FBI.
The jury found Wright guilty of one count of transportation of a minor with intent to engage in prostitution or criminal sexual activity, one count of production of child pornography, two counts of receipt of child pornography, and one count of transportation of child pornography. Wright faces a mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of 15 years and a maximum term of imprisonment of life when he is sentenced.
The investigation and prosecution of Wright’s case involved the efforts of the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, among other agencies. The case highlights the ongoing issue of child exploitation and the importance of law enforcement’s role in protecting vulnerable victims and holding perpetrators accountable.
