Christopher Peyton Stricklin, a 20-year-old from Savannah, Tennessee, was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for committing multiple child exploitation offenses. In August 2025, Stricklin used his cell phone to videotape himself sexually molesting a minor female and then sent the explicit video to another minor. The investigation led to a three-count indictment, and Stricklin was found guilty of production and distribution of child pornography, as well as transferring obscene material to a person under 16.
Following a two-day jury trial, United States District Court Judge J. Daniel Breen sentenced Stricklin to 300 months in prison, 10 years of supervised release, and ordered him to pay $1,000 in restitution to the victim and a $5,000 special assessment under the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015.
U.S. Attorney D. Michael Dunavant stated that predators like Stricklin are increasingly using technology to commit heinous crimes against children, and his office will continue to convict and severely punish them. The FBI also commented on the case, saying that the community is safer with Stricklin behind bars and that they will continue to pursue criminals who exploit children.
Stricklin will be required to register as a sex offender under the Sex Offender Registration & Notification Act (SORNA) after his release from prison. The sentence serves as a reminder of the severe consequences for those who commit child exploitation offenses.
