San Juan, Puerto Rico – A ruthless predator has been brought to justice as Lionel Albino Galindo, 53, from Vega Alta, PR, was sentenced today to 360 months (30 years) in federal prison for child exploitation. The sentence includes a subsequent five-year supervised release.
Galindo was indicted on April 19, 2024, and found guilty on six counts after a grueling five-day jury trial on March 11, 2025. These charges included coercion and enticement of a minor, transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and receipt and possession of child pornography.
The evidence laid bare a chilling web of exploitation, where Galindo sexually exploited a 13-year-old girl from February 2024 until March 19, 2024. The judge heard that Galindo used his cell phone and internet messaging services to coerce the young victim into producing child pornography and engaging in sexual acts.
U.S. Attorney W. Stephen Muldrow and FBI Special Agent Devin J. Kowalski announced the sentence, emphasizing the collaborative efforts of the Puerto Rico Police Bureau in the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jenifer Y. Hernández Vega and Emelina Agrait Barreto prosecuted the case with relentless dedication.
