Christopher Kevin Solomon, Illegal Re-entry, New York 2018

A Jamaican man, identified as Christopher Kevin Solomon, has admitted to re-entering the United States illegally. Solomon, 41, was arrested by a Border Patrol Agent at a hotel in Hogansburg, New York, on January 17, 2018.

According to the investigation, Solomon was removed from the United States to Jamaica on April 26, 2003. However, he returned to the US without permission, which led to his arrest and subsequent guilty plea.

United States Attorney Grant C. Jaquith and Chief Patrol Agent John C. Pfeifer announced the guilty plea, which was made in a court in Albany, New York. The case was investigated by Border Patrol and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Edward P. Grogan.

Solomon faces up to 2 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 when he is sentenced by Senior United States District Judge Lawrence E. Kahn on August 29, 2018.
