According to U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr., Walters was sentenced to 12 months in prison by U.S. District Court Judge Richard J. Arcara on January 5, 2011.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary Catherine Baumgarten stated that the investigation was conducted by Special Agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge James J. Hunt, New York Field Division.
