Heroin and Methamphetamine Dealers Indicted in Tampa

Tampa, Florida – A shocking indictment has been returned against Ciera Anderson (28) and Tequan Ramsey (28), both of St. Petersburg, charging them with conspiracy to distribute heroin and methamphetamine.

If convicted on all counts, each faces a maximum penalty of life in federal prison.

According to the indictment, from December 8, 2022, through March 3, 2023, Anderson and Ramsey conspired to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin, and 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. The distributions occurred in Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties.

An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.

The case was investigated by the Clearwater Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration. It will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Maria Guzman.

The indictment serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing struggle against heroin and methamphetamine trafficking in the Tampa area. As our community continues to grapple with the devastating effects of these substances, it is crucial that we hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
