Anthony Bernard Allen, Cocaine Trafficking, Florida 2026

⏱ 2 min read

Anthony Bernard Allen, a 54-year-old felon from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, has been busted for a massive cocaine trafficking operation. Allen was caught with over 500 grams of cocaine and more than 28 grams of cocaine base, as well as a firearm, which is a big no-no for a convicted felon. The indictment, announced by United States Attorney John P. Heekin, alleges that Allen possessed the cocaine with intent to distribute, and also possessed a firearm as a convicted felon.

The investigation was a joint effort by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with assistance from the Gulf Coast High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task Force. Allen appeared in court for his initial appearance and is set to go to trial on September 21, 2026.

If convicted, Allen faces a minimum of 5 years in prison and up to life imprisonment for the cocaine trafficking charge, as well as up to 15 years for the firearm charge. This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at taking down cartels and transnational criminal organizations.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Brooke D. Lindsay. An indictment is merely an allegation, and Allen is presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, if the government can prove its case, Allen will be facing some serious time behind bars.
