A brazen Tallahassee trafficking operation came crashing down in August 2024 when law enforcement intercepted a package containing nearly two pounds of methamphetamine.
The package was addressed to a Tallahassee residence, but the intended recipient, Antonio Shine, 38, of Dania, Florida, wasn’t about to take delivery without a fight.
Shine, a twice-convicted felon with a rap sheet that includes aggravated battery and possession of cocaine, took possession of the package and brought it into the residence.
But law enforcement wasn’t about to let him get away with it. They executed a search warrant and Shine took off through the back door, package in hand, only to be apprehended by officers.
Inside the residence, cops found a digital scale, narcotics paraphernalia, and 44 grams of marijuana packaged for sale. Shine’s guilty plea comes as part of the Department of Justice’s Operation Take Back America initiative, aimed at dismantling trafficking organizations and networks.
