WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA
Conner David Patterson, a 21-year-old man from Valley Grove, West Virginia, has admitted to possessing child pornography, officials announced.
Patterson pleaded guilty to one count of ‘Possession of Child Pornography’ on July 2021 in Ohio County. The crime involved a minor under the age of 12.
Patterson faces up to 20 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $250,000. The actual sentence will be determined by the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, taking into account the seriousness of the offenses and any prior criminal history.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Danae DeMasi-Lemon on behalf of the government. The FBI and the West Virginia Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force conducted the investigation.
U.S. Magistrate Judge James P. Mazzone presided over the proceedings.
