A 25-year-old Pearl River man is facing up to 15 years in prison after being caught with a gun on the Choctaw Indian Reservation. Jehovah Horace Dixon was found with a firearm on June 4, 2025, despite being a convicted felon.
Dixon’s arrest came after a federal grand jury indicted him in June 2025 on the firearms charge. The indictment stemmed from a collaborative effort between the FBI’s Safe Trails Task Force and local law enforcement agencies.
The Safe Trails Task Force is a partnership between the FBI and other agencies aimed at combating violent crime and drug trafficking in Indian Country and surrounding communities.
Dixon’s sentencing is scheduled for July 29, 2026. A federal judge will determine his sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other factors.
