Orlando Justice, a 38-year-old Rochester man, has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for threatening and stalking a police officer. The incident began on November 23, 2024, when Justice was arrested by a Rochester police officer while intoxicated and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. While at the hospital, Justice threatened the officer, saying he would come to his house and injure him.
Justice continued to harass the officer the following day, calling him multiple times via cellular service and FaceTime. He demanded that the officer give him the names of the other officers involved in his arrest and threatened to go to the officer’s home. Justice also encouraged his friends to call the officer, further escalating the situation.
The Rochester Police Department, with the assistance of the Greece Police Department, investigated the case, which was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Meghan K. McGuire. U.S. District Judge Meredith A. Vacca handed down the 21-month prison sentence, bringing an end to Justice’s campaign of intimidation against the officer.
The sentence serves as a reminder of the consequences of threatening and stalking law enforcement officers. Justice’s actions were a clear attempt to intimidate and harass the officer, and the court’s decision reflects the seriousness of these crimes.
