Council Bluffs, IA – Brandon Wayne Moore, 40, was handed a 120-month sentence for his role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy. The senior U.S. District Court Judge Robert W. Pratt imposed the harsh term on May 11, 2017, following Moore’s guilty plea earlier that year.
Moore admitted to participating in the illegal operation, which began as early as August 2016, within the Southern District of Iowa. The drug trafficking ring was cracked by a collaborative effort between the Southwest Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force, the Council Bluffs Police Department, and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
United States Attorney Kevin E. VanderSchel announced the sentence, which is accompanied by a five-year term of supervised release post-imprisonment.
