Buffalo Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Producing Child Pornography
A Buffalo man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after being convicted of producing child pornography, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York.
Daniel Sasiadek, 64, of Buffalo, was sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by 20 years of supervised release by U.S. District Judge Elizabeth Wolford on Friday, April 12, 2008.
The charges against Sasiadek stem from an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Cheektowaga Police Department, which revealed that between July 2004 and October 2004, the defendant produced child pornography of a child who was approximately six years old.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Marie P. Grisanti, who handled the case, stated that the production of child pornography is a serious crime that causes irreparable harm to its victims.
The case against Sasiadek is the result of a thorough investigation by law enforcement agencies, and we are grateful for their tireless efforts in bringing this defendant to justice.
