David Bradford Indicted for Fentanyl Trafficking, Atlanta GA, 2025
A shocking indictment has been unsealed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, revealing a brazen fentanyl trafficking operation masterminded by Atlanta resident David Bradford, 35.
According to court documents, Bradford was charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance. The indictment alleges that Bradford, along with unnamed co-conspirators, engaged in a large-scale fentanyl trafficking operation between 2020 and 2024.
Federal authorities claim that Bradford and his associates distributed massive quantities of fentanyl, often laced with other deadly substances, throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area. The indictment states that the operation resulted in numerous overdoses and at least two confirmed fatalities.
Detectives from the Atlanta Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) worked tirelessly to dismantle the operation, conducting extensive surveillance and gathering evidence through undercover sting operations.
Bradford’s indictment comes as part of a larger effort by law enforcement to combat the growing opioid crisis in Atlanta and beyond. ‘This indictment serves as a warning to those who would peddle poison on our streets,’ said a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia.
The case against Bradford is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Daniel Patrick Griffin, Alex R. Sistla, and Joshua A. Mayes. If convicted, Bradford faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $1 million.
