A Fort Wayne man has been charged with methamphetamine trafficking in the Northern District of Indiana. David J. LaRose, 34, was arrested on March 21, 2024, after a grand jury indictment.
According to the indictment, LaRose conspired with others to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison.
The investigation was conducted by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Northern Indiana High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force. The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana.
This case is a result of an ongoing effort to combat methamphetamine trafficking in the region. The Northern District of Indiana has seen a significant increase in methamphetamine-related cases in recent years.
LaRose is scheduled to appear before a U.S. Magistrate Judge on March 26, 2024, for an initial appearance. He is currently being held without bond.
