Debra Jean Eyerly, Child Pornography Charges, Texas 2012

Grimy Times Exclusive: A Conroe woman, Debra Jean Eyerly, 54, formerly Debra Martin-Pryce, has been ordered to serve 25 years in prison for her convictions on multiple child pornography charges.

According to U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson, Eyerly pleaded guilty on October 25, 2012, to conspiracy to produce, production, transportation, and possession of child pornography. U.S. District Judge Keith P. Ellison sentenced Eyerly to 300 months on the conspiracy charge, as well as 300 months on each of the three production charges, and 120 months on the transportation and possession charges.

All sentences will be served concurrently for a total sentence of 300 months. Following her release from prison, Eyerly will serve the rest of her life on supervised release.

The investigation began in 2006, when FBI officers in Tulsa, Buffalo, and Detroit downloaded child pornography over the Internet, which was traced to a computer used by Matthew Eyerly, Debra’s husband at the time. Agents later located the couple in an apartment in Conroe, where a minor child was also present.

When questioned, Matthew Eyerly admitted to digital and oral contact with the child and taking pictures of these acts. Debra Eyerly also admitted to taking photos of the child and sending them to her husband at his request. Both consented to searches of their computers, which revealed images of the child on both computers, as well as a camera belonging to Debra Eyerly.

Matthew Eyerly, 36, was also sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for his role in the conspiracy. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to produce child pornography and possession of child pornography. Debra Eyerly has been in custody since her October 28, 2011, arrest and will remain there pending transfer to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. For more information about Project Safe Childhood, please visit www.usdoj.gov/psc.
