Wilson Radhames Peguero Brea, a 57-year-old Dominican national, has a long history of crime in the United States. He has been convicted of drug trafficking, aggravated identity theft, and wire fraud, and has been deported from the country three times. Despite this, he continued to illegally reenter the US, using numerous aliases and fake identities. On July 16, 2026, Peguero Brea pleaded guilty to illegal reentry of a deported alien with a prior felony conviction in federal court in Boston.
Peguero Brea’s criminal history dates back to 1997, when he was convicted of drug trafficking under an alias associated with a US citizen victim. He was removed from the US in 2005, but returned and was arrested again in 2016 for possession of a fraudulently obtained driver’s license. He was deported a second time in 2016, but again returned to the US and was charged with trafficking cocaine and fentanyl in Dorchester District Court.
In 2021, Peguero Brea was arrested and charged with aggravated identity theft and wire fraud in federal court. He was convicted of both charges in January 2023 and sentenced to more than two years in federal prison. After serving his sentence, he was deported from the US for a third time, but again returned to the country illegally.
Peguero Brea’s guilty plea is the latest development in a long and complex case. He is currently in ICE custody and faces sentencing on September 16, 2026. The case highlights the challenges faced by law enforcement in dealing with repeat offenders who continue to illegally reenter the US despite being deported multiple times.
